The review this week will be about Soops ‘n Sanz. No doubt Waterford’s best kept secret isn’t much of a secret anymore.
On the west side of Dixie Highway just past Silver Lake Rd (that’s if you are going north) is a small brick building. If you do not know it’s there, you will pass the most mouth watering restaurant for soups and sandwiches you will ever experience.
From the moment you walk in you are greeted by their friendly servers and one of them is usually the owner/cooks wife. They always make you feel at home every time.
Now most of you that know me know that if there is good iced tea to be had that’s what I am ordering. Be it a little tea with my sugar! The iced tea here is freshly brewed and absolutely delicious.
On this visit I ordered half a sandwich and a cup of soup from the menu. My choice this time was grilled cheese and a cup of chili. I can tell you that they normally have about 2 to 3 soups to choose from and they rotate. I have had the broccoli and cheese soup, chili and the potato soup and all of them keep you coming back for more. By the way, of course, all the soups are homemade.
I encourage you to try all the sandwiches they make. Any of there sandwiches will not disappoint.
